More Students Graduating From College, University McGuinty Government Building Tomorrow’s Highly Skilled Workforce

More students are graduating with a college diploma or university degree, thanks to Ontario's unprecedented investments in postsecondary education.

In the last five years, the percentage of students graduating from college has increased from 57 to 65 per cent. The percentage of undergraduate students completing university has also gone up - from 74 to 78 per cent.

To help colleges and universities continue to provide a high-quality education to a growing number of students, the government is investing an additional $150 million in one-time operating funding in postsecondary institutions this year.
This funding is in addition to the $151 million increase in operating funding that Ontario colleges and universities will share this year as part of the Reaching Higher plan.
